Personal data is an essential\npart <\/strong>of an organization’s growth and success<\/strong>. Protection of the\ninformation is necessary <\/strong>for any activities that involve the collection\nand processing <\/strong>such as: product support and customization processes,\ncollecting for marketing promotions, CV\u2019s, handling employment-related data,\netc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Risks <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The risks of events where\npersonal data have been compromised are: <\/p>\n\n\n\n – Reputational damage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n – Increased\nsupervision\/investigation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n – Fines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Personal Data <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n GDPR is an European Union\nregulation for all individuals within the EU, to protect personal data. If the\ncompany does not comply to this regulation it can get a fine. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Others <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Do: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n – The right thing, be fair and\ntransparent about what you do with the personal data. <\/p>\n\n\n\n – Use only the necessary\npersonal data. <\/p>\n\n\n\n – Maintain accurate and\nreliable records. <\/p>\n\n\n\n – Protect and ensure the\npersonal data is not shared unless necessary. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Don\u2019t: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n – Use it any other way, you\nsaid you were going to do. <\/p>\n\n\n\n – Keep personal data longer than necessary.
