Bite-sized learning during the summer

Bite-sized learning, microlearning, nanolearning: They’re all fancy names for learning something in small amounts. Mediums like Duolingo, Squla, and Kahoot, use microlearning tactics to encourage people to learn things. Spending 1, 5, or 15 minutes on learning something new is more effective than sitting down to study for hours on end: our brains can’t really concentrate and actively pick up information for longer periods.

Learning takes time, and it’s good to develop a habit for yourself in which you take some time for learning, whether its microlearning or longer study periods. The summer period is a good time to start developing the habit of learning, as most of us often have some breathing room between busy periods.

Did you know?

GoodHabitz allows you to do activities that take between 5 and 15 minutes, with a huge number of different topics available. It’s a good way to work on L&D without taking up too much time, and can be quite fun as well, if you choose a course that interests you!

You can find the activities on the Explore page of GoodHabitz.

If you cannot find any fitting courses on our learning platform, you can always look online for other microlearning opportunities. Many YouTube channels, TikTok creators, and Instagram accounts post microlearning activities related to different topics, all of which are free to access most of the time. So, if you’re looking for something new, consider looking online for content that matches your learning needs.

However, please be aware that not everything you see online is true or accurate, so be wary of what you look for and what content you believe!
