How long have you been working for TKH Airport Solutions?
I have been interning at TKH since September of last year, however as of the 1st of July I will begin my journey as an HR Advisor at TKH
What can you tell us about your role in TKH Airport Solutions?
Other than offering support to the HR Manager, some examples of tasks I will be carrying out are: organizing and overseeing the onboarding process for new hires; assisting with the recruitment process; monitoring and evaluating employees’ professional growth and skill development and making recommendations and assisting with other HR topics such as performance reviews, payroll, work safety etc.
What does your typical workday look like?
I have yet to experience a typical workday outside of being an intern, however I imagine my day would begin with going through my emails, participating in meetings, performing HR administrative tasks and continuous working on open HR topics.
What specialism can you offer to your colleagues?
As an HR Advisor, I will be a point of contact for employees regarding any aspects of human resources (for example: questions regarding contracts and policies)
Can you tell us a bit about your personal life?
I am 25 years old and I am originally from Aruba, but I moved to the Netherlands in 2019 to pursue my studies. I am currently occupied with writing my Thesis. Thus, I am almost finished with my Bachelor’s program: International Human Resource Management at Saxion. I live in Enschede together with my boyfriend. My hobbies includes reading books, spending time with loved ones, painting/drawing, and taking walks in nature.
What is on top of your bucket list?
Currently, travel travel travel! There are a few destinations in Europe that I would love to visit this year, so my goal is to travel more.
What is your favourite travel destination?
My favorite travel destination so far has been Colombia. I have been there a few times already and I definitely see myself visiting again. The culture is very vibrant, the country itself is very beautiful, and not to mention the food is delicious.
What can somebody wake you up for at night?
Unless it’s an emergency, I would rather not be woken up 🙂
What does a typical Sunday look like for you?
Sleeping in, doing some cleaning, taking a walk in the city center or the park, then going back home to watch a movie while having some take-out.
What else do your colleagues not know about you yet?
I love trying different hobbies that involves being artistic, so I recently began working on sculpting items out of modelling clay and am now thinking of trying embroidering.
