What will be your role in the organization and your main responsibilities?
Technical Writer. I will be responsible for all technical documents in the company. Occasionally I will produce some marketing material s.a. white papers and others.
What excites you the most about joining TKH Airport Solutions?
Joining a young company in a interesting technical market. And to contribute in a technology that is future proof and less energy consuming.
Are there any specific projects or tasks you’re particularly passionate about?
During my years in school (some time ago now), I discovered that I really enjoy the combination of text and technology. I gained experience as a quality inspector, technical illustrator and technical editor in the first years after that. Then I focused more and more on being a technical writer. In recent years I have been mainly active in the publishing world. Here I mainly wrote for various technical and automotive journals.
How can your previous work experiences help you succeed in this company?
Working at a publishing house for various trade publications has given me a broader view of today’s technology. I think modern technology can contribute and solve some of the challenging issues we face globally.
Can you share one/two interesting fact(s) about yourself?
I live in Doesburg, one of the most lovely cities of the Netherlands. I always enjoy walking through the city center. And feel privileged living there.
What are some of your favorite weekend activities or hobbies?
I like to paint (modern, landscapes or fantasy) and me and my wife like to walk. We have also a large garden, so gardening is one activity (but not always a hobby).
Is there a favorite quote or mantra that inspires you in your career or life?
Believe you can and you’re halfway there.
What’s one piece of advice or insight you’d like to share with your new colleagues?
Respect each other. Makes life a lot easier.
What’s one career achievement that you are most proud of?
Producing a special printed magazine in 2021 with a special interest theme about the electrical motor. It was a success for the publishing company.
