What will be your role in the organization and your main responsibilities?

Graduation Internship Electrical and Electronic Engineering Intern – asking questions and having tons of ideas

What excites you the most about joining TKH Airport Solutions?

A new endeavour and diving into the deep for me, as this is only my second engineering internship. I am really keen on seeing how much I can improve during my time at TKH. I am truly excited about my assignment as well.

Are there any specific projects or tasks you’re particularly passionate about?

Anything new intrigues me. Maybe the Internet of Things and the possibilities of it.

How can your previous work experiences help you succeed in this company?

I have done a couple of different engineering projects during my previous semesters, the one involving working on a drone docking station with a multidisciplinary team I was leading may be one of the most helpful in terms of work and knowledge gathered.

Can you share one/two interesting fact(s) about yourself?

I have lived in 3 countries in total – I am originally from Sofia, Bulgaria, have been studying and living in Enschede for almost 4 years now and have lived 4 months in Seoul, South Korea as a part of an exchange semester. I can also play the guitar and ukulele.

What are some of your favorite weekend activities or hobbies?

I have a myriad of hobbies. A good weekend may be starting the day with a morning run, then reading a good book to rest a bit. Playing a video game, drawing and finally going out with friends somewhere around the city or just grabbing a cup of coffee to catch up. A good chunk of the day having music blasting in the background.

Is there a favorite quote or mantra that inspires you in your career or life?

I have a few, but I have always admired much “May the odds be ever in your favour” from the Hunger Games.

What’s one piece of advice or insight you’d like to share with your new colleagues?

You do not need to be good at something to enjoy it, just enjoy the process. Slowly but surely with time you will get good at it.

What’s one career achievement that you are most proud of?

That I am not afraid to step up when an opportunity arises and am always seeking additional self improvement through extracurricular activities. Be it learning languages (I am studying Dutch), or delving into different topics like liberal arts and sciences through what Saxion calls Honours programmes.

Finally, a few dilemmas. Make a choice!
