As the days get shorter, it’s harder for drivers to see cyclists, especially in the early mornings and evenings. Official date of daytime saving this year is on Sunday, October 26, 2025. There will be limited daylight time since the sun only appear 8-10 hours a day.
From a car driver’s point of view, a cyclist without lights can blend into the dark, making it easy to miss them until it’s almost too late.
Using front and rear lights, along with reflective clothing or accessories, greatly increases your visibility and reduces the risk of accidents. A few extra seconds of attention can make all the difference. So make sure your lights are on, stay extra alert in these dark months, and, bonus, avoid getting fined! 😉
