Hey everyone!
If you’re not a morning person (like me) but still want a cozy, filling breakfast , this one’s a game changer. These Apple Pie Overnight Oats taste like dessert but are actually healthy, quick, and perfect for busy workdays.
Ingredients
For the apples:
· 1 apple (chopped small)
· A pinch of cinnamon
· 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey
· A tiny pinch of salt
For the oats:
· ¾ cup (about 180 ml) milk or plant milk
· ½ cup rolled oats
· 1 tbsp chia seeds (optional but helps thicken)
· ½ tsp cinnamon
· 1 tsp vanilla extract
· 1–2 tbsp nut butter (almond, cashew, or peanut)
· A bit more maple syrup or honey to taste
Topping:
· A few spoons of Greek yogurt
How to Make It
1. Cook the apples: In a small pan, warm up the chopped apple with cinnamon, maple syrup, and salt for about 8–10 minutes until soft and caramelized.
2. Mix the oats: In a jar or container, combine milk, oats, chia seeds, nut butter, vanilla, cinnamon, and a drizzle of sweetener. Stir well.
3. Assemble:
- Spoon the oat mixture into a jar or container.
- Add a layer of Greek yogurt on top.
- Finish with the warm cooked apples on top of the yogurt.
4. Chill: Cover and leave in the fridge overnight (or at least 4–6 hours).
5. Enjoy: Grab it straight from the fridge in the morning ,or warm it up a little if you prefer!
