What can you tell us about your role in TKH Airport Solutions?
Focus on Operations management in NL, with a broad diversity on daily topics. Major focus areas are related to production, supply chain and quality of Basestation, terminators. Close cooperation with Denmark on production and supply chain aspect for fixtures.
What does your typical workday look like?
Quite divers typically, as we deal with both short term issues and long term challenges in many areas.
What specialism can you offer to your colleagues?
A strong fulfillment focus, combined with communication and relationship skills, ensuring that both internal and external partners are in line with company goals and required results for growth and operational excellence.
Can you tell us a bit about your personal life? Family, hobbies, etc.
Married to Jacqueline for almost 30 years.
3 adult sons active in Sales, Sustainabilty and Graphical Design
Dog owner (Shelties since 1987 and Koningspoedel since 2019)
Hobbies in hiking, gardening, gaming, airgunning.
Whiskey (most recent purchase Deveron 18years.. love it!)
What is on top of your bucket list?
Return to USA for a 4 week road trip on the west coast from border of Canada to LA (not route 66..)
What is your favorite travel destination?
Germany (Eifel/Moezel) into Beieren
What can somebody wake you up for at night?
A good conversation…. (NOT)… Nachos Supreme (YES)
What does a typical Sunday look like for you?
Early rise – max use of daylight – hiking, family-friends.
What is the best advice that you ever received?
1) Always fight for things that you believe in, protect and/or cherish – Check
2) Make sure to have three employers in the first 10 years of your career – Check
3) Read the book ‘Who moved my cheese” by Spencer Johnson – Check
What else do your colleagues not know about you yet?
Probably you know as I often refer to it… 😉 Lived in the USA for 2 years with my wife and kids from 2005-2007 (Colorado). If you ever get (or create) a window for such an expat adventure – DO IT!
