How long have you been working for TKH Airport Solutions?
I will start at the 1st of October 2021
What can you tell us about your role in TKH Airport Solutions?
I will start as a Junior Hardware Engineer in the team in Haaksbergen.
What specialism can you offer to your colleagues?
Analog (IC) design, Digital hardware design (VHDL), Mathematical modelling, Automatization and scripting, Wireless communication techniques, Low-level (microcontroller) programming, Web (interface) design, 3D modelling
Can you tell us a bit about your personal life?
I have a small webshop together with my brother that sells wooden city maps for interior decoration at www.bekroned.nl . To make these wooden maps we bought a laser engraving/cutting machine. I develop and maintain the website and tools, while my brother handles the administrative & marketing side. Furthermore I enjoy playing guitar, watch series/films with friends, cooking, cycling, playing card/board games and doing varying creative hobby projects often involving the laser cutter.
What is your favorite travel destination?
Japan. I did my internship in Nara, Japan. For my internship I studied the Japanese language and I became fascinated with the country, culture and the food.
What is on top of your bucket list?
A long road trip in an eastern country like Japan, China or Korea
What can somebody wake you up for at night?
If someone needs help with something I’m always happy to help out, even if they wake me up at night
What does a typical Sunday look like for you?
Sleeping in, visiting relatives, hobbying, cooking something special
What is the best advice you ever received?
Don’t worry, be happy
What do your coworkers not know about you yet?
I regularly collect litter in the neighborhood while listening to audio books. I find this a very relaxing activity since it clears your mind while not being boring due to the audio book. Also the neighborhood gets cleaned of litter which leaves a feeling of satisfaction. Oftentimes people will stop and make some small talk, which is a nice addition.
