What excites you the most about joining TKH Airport Solutions?
Twofold: first, joining a company that develops and produces the advanced technical products and which owns full product cycle from research & development, manufacturing to installation and sales. Secondly and more importantly, joining a compact team with a lot of entrepreneurial energy and the broad responsibilities that come with the role.
Are there any specific projects or tasks you’re particularly passionate about?
Build processes and create insights that support and drive the business.
How can your previous work experiences help you succeed in this company?
My time as a financial auditor at EY taught me invaluable lessons in understanding end-to-end processes and how to build and manage organized teams and workflows. Later, as a finance manager at Kuros, a scale-up biotechnology company, I gained extensive experience in crafting, developing, and implementing policies, processes, KPIs, and more.
Can you share one/two interesting fact(s) about yourself?
1. I’m a football (soccer) enthusiast and was an active player until recently. People compare me with Peter Crouch, the towering striker with a cult status who played at Liverpool a decade ago. While my height might not lend itself to the graceful finesse of someone like Messi, I can still score some fantastic goals. 😉 However, the real challenge comes the day after the game—my body is so sore that getting out of bed feels like an impossible task!
2. I absolutely love karaoke! One of my most memorable moments was performing on stage at the Prinsengracht in Amsterdam during Koningsdag, where I sang a song by André Hazes. While I might not be the best singer, I make up for it with plenty of enthusiasm! 😉
What are some of your favorite weekend activities or hobbies?
Going to a playground, park or forest with my wife, daughter (3 yo) and son (0 yo). And I love to play a chess or board game with friends in a cafe/bar.
Is there a favorite quote or mantra that inspires you in your career or life?
I like the Japanese saying “Nana korobi, ya oki” which means “Fall down seven times, stand up eight.”
