How long have you been working for TKH Airport Solutions?

What can you tell us about your role in TKH Airport Solutions?
I’m responsible for Marketing Communications, in the broadest sense. My primary role is to get the story out of our fabulous products and ensure a uniform and professional brand… but also I’m advising on things like internal communications and product documentation.
What does your typical workday look like?
I start the day checking my email inboxes, and doing a quick monitoring tour through our marketing channels (website, LinkedIN, Google Analytics). Every other day at 9.00am I join the sales and marketing team call in which we discuss what happened the day before and what we will be working on today. After the call my workday continues, usually with a to-do list that I try to make shorter but for some reason gets longer every day! 😉
My work is primarily focused on translating our marketing strategy into actions. Since I am relatively new to the business, there is a lot to set up. Good content for our website and LinkedIn, product documentation, an up to date marketing database to keep our customers and prospects informed, you can name it all. With all events being cancelled or postponed, we are also moving to digital ways to tell our story, such as webinars.
What specialism can you offer to your colleagues?
Anything related to marketing, communications, project management and software development (the latter being a legacy from my previous job ;-)).
Can you tell us a bit about your personal life? Family, hobbies, etc.
I live in Haaksbergen, just a few kilometres from the office, together with my husband Clemens and my 4 years old son Denis. In my spare time I love to play tennis and to make music. Also, I am in the board of the Ekiko foundation, which arranges suitcases with basic necessities for foster children when they are placed in a foster family.
What is on top of your bucket list?
I hope to be able to start travelling the world again, when my son is a bit older. So many countries yet to visit!
What is your favorite travel destination?
Pfew, difficult question. The 2 countries I have loved most whilst traveling were Mexico and Cambodia. But I also love to travel within the Netherlands. We have one of the prettiest coastlines of the world!
What can somebody wake you up for at night?
A good conversation. Oh and chocolate 😉
What does a typical Sunday look like for you?
Sleep in (until 8am instead of 7am :)), have croissants for breakfast, and then chill out at home or in our garden. Go for a walk or bicycle ride, visit my family. Make home made pizza or, when the weather is good, lighten the barbecue fire!
What is the best advice that you ever received?
Don’t hesitate, try to make a choice. The worst choice is not to make one!
What else do your colleagues not know about you yet?
I’m member of an (amateur) band called Blue Jays, in which we play (semi) acoustic country rock covers.
